The Degasi Bases

Use your Seamoth to explore, but avoid depths greater than 200m, as it will take periodic damage and explode at 0 health, harming you. Repair your Seamoth in the field with the Repair Tool if needed.

Search for Moonpool fragments and databoxes containing the Vehicle Upgrade Console blueprint to increase your Seamoth's depth limit.

Warning: Avoid the cave system by Lifepod 17, the Aurora (until you have better tools), excessively deep areas, and the outer rim (which may destroy your Seamoth).

Prepare for the trip to the Degasi bases: empty your inventory, ensure you are well-fed and hydrated (no need to bring food/water).

Pilot your Seamoth southwest (slightly more south) from your lifepod, looking for a cloud obscuring the destination.

Upon reaching the island, be aware of scan-fodder flora and harvestable fresh foods like the Bulbo Tree (good for food/water). You can kill aggressive creatures with your knife.

Locate the three Degasi base structures on the island. Listen to PDA data for their story.

Scan or collect the following before leaving the island: Indoor Growbed, Outdoor Growbed, Multipurpose Room, Purple Tablet (take it, don't just scan), Spotlight, Bulkhead, Ultra Glide Fins (from a databox), and Composite Plant Pot.

Harvest the following plants: Bulbo Tree (use knife, harvest seeds for food/water, replant seeds), Lantern Fruit (replant fruit, good for Bioreactors), Chinese Potato (optional, fast growth, low water yield), and Marblemelon (harvest with knife, powerful food).
