As you approach the endgame of Subnautica 2, the next major objective requires venturing deep into the planet, far beyond the Seamoth's depth limit. This section focuses on the crucial preparations needed for this challenging journey.

Key Vehicles & Upgrades:

• Prawn Suit: While you likely have the blueprint from the Aurora, the Prawn Suit's default movement is restricted to walking and short jumps. It can reach 1700m with upgrades, but its limited range necessitates a larger vessel.
• Cyclops: This is your primary vehicle for deep exploration. If you don't have the blueprint, search for fragments in Mushroom Forests, Sea Treader's Path, Underwater Islands, or the Crash Site.

Cyclops Fragment Locations:

• Hull Fragments: Mushroom Forests, Sea Treader's Path.
• Engine Fragments: Mushroom Forests, Underwater Islands, Crash Site.
• Bridge Fragments: Mushroom Forests, Sea Treader's Path, Crash Site.

Essential Cyclops Preparations:

• Familiarize Yourself: Spend time exploring and reacting to emergencies within the Cyclops.
• Upgrade Modules: Craft upgrade modules, especially the first Cyclops depth module. If you lack the blueprint, find Lifepod 2 in the northern Blood Kelp Zone.
• Mobile Base: Use the Habitat Builder to create interior base objects, turning the Cyclops into a mobile base essential for extended expeditions.
• Power: Bring extra power cells, as the Cyclops consumes a significant amount of energy.
• Fabricator & Modification Station: It's highly recommended to build these inside your Cyclops.
• Purple Tablets: Craft two Purple Tablets or bring the materials to make them.

Prawn Suit Enhancements:

• Drill Arm: Highly recommended for harvesting large ore deposits and unique underground ores.
• Depth Modules: Bring materials for Prawn Suit MK1 depth module and consider upgrades for MK2.

Survival Supplies:

• Food & Water: Bring edible plants (like bulbo trees) that provide water, as underground areas lack water sources. Alternatively, stock up on manufactured water from your base.
• Reinforced Dive Suit: If you find the databox, this suit reduces damage and increases temperature resistance, reducing the need to exit vehicles.
• Knife: Essential for close-quarters defense.

Base Building Materials:

• Bring materials to construct a small base, including a moonpool and vehicle upgrade console. This is crucial for crafting Prawn Suit depth modules if you can't return to your main base.

Navigation:

• Beacons: Create a decent amount of beacons to mark your path and avoid getting lost in the maze-like deep areas.
