Learn how to navigate Silent Hill: Shattered Memories using door outlines and wall climbing. The phone map has limitations.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The phone's map (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories can help you navigate the Nightmare world, but it's often not useful because Harry cannot run with his phone out, and the map doesn't show all obstacles or blocked doors.
  2. 2
Doors you can go through have a light blue outline, visible from a distance. These doors indicate a path you can take, but not necessarily the one needed to progress.
  3. 3
To go through a door faster, run into it while holding the L1 button, causing Harry to barge through quickly.
  4. 4
Be aware that a Raw Shock (a type of creature) may cling to you as you go through a door. Refer to the Raw Shocks section for how to deal with this.
  5. 5
Walls you can climb also have a light blue outline, though it's slightly harder to see than door outlines.
  6. 6
Run towards a climbable wall while holding L1 to make Harry automatically climb it without stopping to press X.
  7. 7
While climbing, tapping the X button makes Harry ascend faster, which is useful if a creature is chasing you.
  8. 8
Raw Shocks can grab hold of you while climbing walls. Refer to the Raw Shocks section to learn how to deal with them.
  9. 9
Some objects can be climbed under, and these also have a blue outline.
  10. 10
Run towards these objects to automatically go under them. Tap X quickly to make Harry get to the other side faster.
  11. 11
Raw Shocks may grab hold of you as you crawl underneath. Refer to the Raw Shocks section to find out how to shake them off.
Tips
  • Running into doors and climbable walls with the L1 button allows for faster traversal.
  • Tapping X while climbing walls speeds up your ascent.
  • Always be prepared for Raw Shocks to interfere with your movement through doors, up walls, or under objects.
