- 1The phone's map (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories can help you navigate the Nightmare world, but it's often not useful because Harry cannot run with his phone out, and the map doesn't show all obstacles or blocked doors.
- 2Doors you can go through have a light blue outline, visible from a distance. These doors indicate a path you can take, but not necessarily the one needed to progress.
- 3To go through a door faster, run into it while holding the L1 button, causing Harry to barge through quickly.
- 4Be aware that a Raw Shock (a type of creature) may cling to you as you go through a door. Refer to the Raw Shocks section for how to deal with this.
- 5Walls you can climb also have a light blue outline, though it's slightly harder to see than door outlines.
- 6Run towards a climbable wall while holding L1 to make Harry automatically climb it without stopping to press X.
- 7While climbing, tapping the X button makes Harry ascend faster, which is useful if a creature is chasing you.
