Transcendence is a crucial late-game system in Punishing: Gray Raven that allows you to further enhance your Constructs beyond their initial SSS+ rank. This process unlocks powerful new stat bonuses and unique abilities, pushing your favorite Constructs to their absolute peak performance. While resource-intensive, a properly Transcended Construct can significantly impact your performance in challenging content like Babel Tower, Phantom Pain Cage, and Warzone.

Unlocking Transcendence

Before you can begin the Transcendence process, your Construct must meet specific prerequisites:

• Rank: The Construct must be at SSS+ rank. This is achieved by acquiring 180 Shards beyond SSS rank.
• Level: The Construct must be at max level (currently Level 80).
• Resonance: All 6 Memory slots must be fully Resonated.

Once these conditions are met, a new "Transcend" option will appear on the Construct's profile screen, typically located near the Rank-up interface.

Transcendence Stages and Materials

Transcendence is divided into multiple stages, each requiring specific materials and offering incremental stat boosts. There are typically 3-5 stages of Transcendence per Construct, with the final stage often unlocking a powerful new passive ability or enhancing an existing one.

Stage 1: Core Activation

The first stage focuses on activating the Construct's core Transcendence matrix. This provides a significant boost to base stats like ATK, DEF, and HP.

• Materials Required:
  • Transcendent Core Fragment x50: These rare fragments are primarily obtained from the weekly "Neural Simulation" challenge in the Resource tab. Higher difficulty tiers yield more fragments. They can also occasionally appear in limited-time event shops.
  • Construct Shards x60: The specific shards for the Construct you are Transcending. These are acquired through the Gacha, Event Shops, or the Pain Cage Shop.
  • Cogs x5,000,000: A substantial amount of currency. Farm these from the "Resource Salvage" stage (Gold) or daily missions.
• Effect: +5% ATK, +5% DEF, +5% HP.

Stage 2: Ability Augmentation

Stage 2 further enhances the Construct's combat capabilities, often focusing on elemental damage, critical rate, or skill damage multipliers.

• Materials Required:
  • Transcendent Core Fragment x75: Continue farming "Neural Simulation" and check event shops.
  • Construct Shards x90: More shards for the specific Construct.
  • Omni-Synthesizer x3: A universal material found in the Guild Shop (requires Guild Contribution) and occasional event rewards.
  • Cogs x7,500,000: Keep farming those Cogs!
• Effect: Varies by Construct. For example, Alpha: Crimson Abyss might gain +10% Ice Damage, while Luna: Laurel could receive +8% Dark Damage and +5% Crit Rate.

Stage 3: Ultimate Potential Unleashed

The third stage is often the most impactful, unlocking a new passive ability or significantly upgrading an existing one, fundamentally changing how the Construct plays or interacts with its team.

• Materials Required:
  • Transcendent Core Fragment x100: The grind continues. Prioritize "Neural Simulation" weekly.
  • Construct Shards x120: A significant investment in shards.
  • Omni-Synthesizer x5: Guild Shop is your primary source.
  • Memory Resonance Shard x10: Obtained from disassembling 6-star Memories or as rare drops from certain high-level Interludes.
  • Cogs x10,000,000: The largest Cog requirement yet.
• Effect: Unlocks a unique Transcendence ability. For example, Liv: Empyrea might gain "Radiant Aegis," granting a temporary shield and increased elemental damage to allies after casting her ultimate. Lee: Hyperreal might unlock "Overclock Protocol," increasing his attack speed and crit damage after entering his core passive state.

Strategic Considerations

• Prioritization: Transcendence is expensive. Prioritize your main DPS Constructs first, especially those that benefit significantly from their Transcendence ability. Support Constructs can follow, but their impact from Transcendence is generally less critical than a fully optimized DPS.
• Resource Management: "Transcendent Core Fragments" are the biggest bottleneck. clear "Neural Simulation" every week on the highest difficulty you can manage. Save your Black Cards for Construct Shards if you're close to a Transcendence milestone for a priority unit.
• Guild Activity: Actively participate in your Guild to earn "Guild Contribution" for Omni-Synthesizers.
• Memory Resonance: Ensure your chosen Construct's Memories are fully resonated before attempting Transcendence, as this is a prerequisite and also provides substantial power.
• Long-Term Goal: View Transcendence as a long-term investment. It will take time to gather all the necessary materials, so plan your resource allocation accordingly. Don't feel pressured to Transcend every Construct immediately.
