Walkthrough

    Run along the beach to find one Log.

    Climb the ladder near the waterfall and follow the path to the ship to find the Rope.

    Head back down the ladder and follow the ramp to a makeshift treehouse to find the Cloth.

    To find the final item, enter the Seaside Shack, exit atop, and cross the bridge to the small island. Alternatively, jump from near the waterfall or swim behind the island and use the ladder.

    Return to Kairi with the items to receive a Hi-Potion.

    To start the race with Riku, head through the door Kairi was blocking to enter the Cove. The best way to win is to run off the edge instead of following Riku, run through the water and up the steps, then run off the edge again. Run right of the boat and up the ramp, then jump up to the Star. Run off the edge and go back the same way you came.

    After the race, jump across the docks. To the right is a box to pick up and throw. Position it close enough to the alcove high above on the left so you can jump up and claim the Protect Chain from the chest.

    Jump down and grab the Mushroom between the bushes.

    Jump down to the beach and push the rock out of the way to reach another alcove with a Mushroom.

    Talk to Kairi to get a list of items: one Seagull Egg, three Mushrooms, two Coconuts, three Fish, and some Drinking Water.

    Smack nearby trees to collect two Coconuts.

    Return to the Seashore and jump into the ocean to collect three Fish.

    Talk to Wakka. Run under the waterfall to obtain Drinking Water.

    Head into the Secret Place to find the final Mushroom and trigger a scene.

    Climb atop the Seaside Shack and up the skinny tree. Jump from here atop the other tree to grab the Seagull Egg.

    Return to Kairi to obtain another Hi-Potion.

Dueling:

  • Talk to Wakka, Selphie, Tidus, or Riku to duel them for experience, Potions, or score.
  • Wakka: Knock his Blitzball back at him for 1 Tech Point and a stun. His jumping throw, “Take this!”, can also be knocked back for 2 Tech Points and a stun.
  • Selphie: Deflect her jump rope back at her for 1 Tech Point and a stun. She has fewer Hit Points than others.
  • Tidus: Parry his normal attack for 2 Tech Points. Swing just before he leaps to start a combo. Use Aerial attacks, especially after his leaping strike.
  • Team Duel (3 vs 1): After defeating Wakka, Selphie, and Tidus, you can duel them together by talking to Tidus. Take out Selphie first due to her low HP. Dodge Wakka’s Blitzball while fighting her. Counter Tidus’s leaping strike and watch for chances to knock Blitzballs back at Wakka. Wakka is last.
  • Riku: Leap behind Sora and attack his back. Riku will parry front attacks. If you unleash a full combo, dodge his follow-up spring forward strike and counter.
