Steering Assist in Forza Horizon 3 determines how much the game interferes with your car's handling. If you set your car's handling to Simulation, you gain full control, and the game will not interfere. If you are not on Simulation, the game will attempt to correct your driving, which can sometimes make the car harder to control.

This mode may be helpful for absolute beginners, but players with some experience should try racing in Simulation mode.
