Alright, so you're diving into the DiRT Tour in Dirt Rally 2.0! When you first kick things off, Travis Pastrana himself will walk you through the ropes and explain the basics. First up, you'll set up your profile with a name – this is what'll pop up on the Leaderboard during events. Then, pick a nickname from the 'Guys', 'Girls', or 'Nicknames' lists; this is how the pros will actually call you out during the Tour.

You'll get your very first ride: a Subaru Impreza STi Group N. At the start, only one event will be open to you, and it's in London. Before you jump into that race, you can check out all the other cars you could potentially use, but with only $150,000 to start, you'll likely only be able to afford one new purchase.

Here's a key thing to know: before every single race, you get to pick your difficulty. There are six levels: Easy, Casual, Serious, Savage, Extreme, and Hardcore. The easier you go, the more 'Flashbacks' you get. Easy mode lets you rewind up to 5 times, while Hardcore throws you in the deep end with zero Flashbacks. On the flip side, cranking up the difficulty means bigger payouts in cash and more XP for your finishing position. Winning an event also nets you XP equal to 10% of the XP needed to win the 'Ticket'.
