    From the start, grab the mask (Aku Aku) and jump onto the TNT.

    Continue on and defeat the penguins if you wish, but do not attack them while they are spinning.

    Proceed to the ice section where sliding can make breaking boxes difficult. You can break the box atop the metal boxes by bouncing from another box or by sliding and jumping. Be careful not to hit the TNT while sliding.

    You will reach another icy area with Nitro boxes; exercise extreme caution.

    Go past the sea lion and onto the next metal arrow box. Instead of hitting the bounce box, jump over it and bounce on top of it. This will hit a hidden ! Box, allowing you to return and collect the outlined boxes.

    Break the remaining boxes and reach the end of the level.

BONUS STAGE:

  • Jump to the icy platform on your right and break the two boxes.
  • Slide right and jump onto the platform.
  • Collect Wumpa Fruit and break the three boxes by crouching and then jumping.
  • Jump down to the icy platform and then to the next platform.
  • Break all boxes on this platform and ride the platform back up.

SECRET AREA/RED GEM:

The Red Gem is accessed via a Secret Warp Room, which is opened by reaching it from the level Air Crash. After entering the level through the secret warp:

  • Slide across the ice past enemies and pits.
  • At the end, go up the snow-covered path to an area with Wumpa Fruit and an Aku Aku mask.
  • Continue on and jump to the ice.
  • Jumping on the sea lion allows you to reach the two lives above.
  • Go past the outlined boxes and stop before the penguin. Do not jump over it; defeat it by spinning or jumping.
  • Go down to the lower icy platform and hit the ! Box.
  • Go back up to the last platform and head left.
  • Jump on the metal boxes to get a life and an Aku Aku mask.
  • Go back to the right and jump across the metal boxes.
  • Jump onto the metal arrow boxes and move right, grabbing the lives among the Wumpa Fruit.
  • Go down to where the Aku Aku mask is and jump across the pit to the right.
  • Go under the wooden crusher and down to the next icy platform.
  • Evade the Nitro boxes and grab the life.
  • At the end, jump up to the platform with the penguin and cross the gap. The metal box will prevent sliding.
  • Jump onto the metal box and hop across the pit.
  • Defeat the penguin, drop to the next platform, and defeat the two penguins.
  • Slide under the wooden crusher and into the next two penguins.
  • Climb up the platforms and fall onto two more penguins. Defeat them if desired.
  • Slide along the ice and defeat the final penguin.
  • Drop down the pit with the Wumpa Fruit to collect the RED GEM. You will return to the main level below where the gem was. Finish the level to keep the gem.
Tips
  • When breaking boxes on ice, use sliding and jumping combined, or bounce off other boxes to reach higher ones.
  • Be cautious of TNT and Nitro boxes, especially when sliding.
  • Wooden crushers are timed; do not linger. Stone crushers require quick movement.
  • The Red Gem requires accessing a secret area via a Secret Warp Room from the Air Crash level.
