Stats / Weaknesses:

• N. Cortex has no visible HP bar, but he takes damage from direct spins.
• He's vulnerable after you catch up to him.

Phases:

1. The Chase: Cortex will fly away from you. Your goal is to catch up.
2. The Attack: Once you're close enough, you can hit him.
3. Repeat: You need to land three hits to defeat him.

Strategy:

• As soon as the fight starts, push forward. Cortex is heading away from you, so you just need to keep pace.
• Watch out for the obstacles he throws your way – asteroids and mines. Hitting them will slow you down, making it harder to catch him, and potentially costing you precious time. Stay focused and weave through them.
• When you finally catch up to Cortex, don't hesitate! Spin into him with the jump button (usually X/A) to land a hit.
