How to Beat Stone Golem

Master the Stone Golem boss fight in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Learn its weaknesses, attack patterns, and the best strategies to emerge victorious.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weakness: Chaos Claws (deal significantly more damage than the Void Sword or Combat Cross)
• Resistances: None significant, but its sheer size makes it hard to hit with rapid attacks.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Ground Assault
   The Golem primarily uses sweeping arm attacks and ground slams. It will also occasionally stomp, creating shockwaves. Dodge these attacks and counter when it's recovering.
2. Phase 2: Boulder Toss
   The Golem will begin to rip chunks of the environment and throw them at you. Continue dodging and look for opportunities to attack its legs or exposed core.
3. Phase 3: Enraged Stomp
   In its final phase, the Golem becomes more aggressive, performing faster and more powerful stomps. Its weak point might become more exposed, but the risk of getting hit increases. Maintain focus on dodging and precise attacks.

Strategy:

• Focus on dodging. The Golem's attacks are slow but hit hard. Learn the timing of its slams and stomps.
• Utilize the Chaos Claws whenever they are available. Their increased damage is crucial for shortening the fight.
• Target the Golem's legs when it's not attacking to chip away at its health.
• When it throws boulders, dodge sideways and then quickly close the distance to attack.
• Be patient. This is a battle of attrition. Don't get greedy with attacks, as a single mistake can cost you a significant amount of health.
