10.) Bosses

Master the boss fights against Fortitudo and Temperantia in Bayonetta 2. Learn their attack patterns, weaknesses, and strategies to defeat these powerful foes.

Bosses:

1. Fortitudo (Dragon)
   • Phase 1 (Platform): Fortitudo has two heads. Attacks include fireballs (dodge immediately), lunging bites (trigger Witch Time), and tail swings (easy to avoid). If caught in his mouth, rotate the left stick to escape to the lower level. Attack heads until stunned, then press Y+B to grab and slam him. Attack again while stunned.
   • Phase 2 (Lower Level): Heads dive and get stuck or swipe. Attack when they are stuck. Dodge fast fireballs. After 3/4 damage, he flies up. Find rubble with an hourglass to avoid lava, jump across rocks to reach him, and press Y+B to grab and tear off the first head (mash X).
   • Phase 3 (Upper Level): He spews lava again. Use hourglass to return to the higher platform. Lone head attacks with two fireballs. Damage it until stunned, then grab and attack. Repeat the grab/attack process after he uses the lava beam. Tear off the second head.
   • Phase 4 (Final): 5-minute timer. He rams the platform (attack him). Dodge spikes from the ground. He may pull away or shoot a light beam (dodge). Continue attacking. He may ram again, land on you, or fly directly at you. Use Climax to finish and get an achievement.
2. Temperantia (Vacuum Cleaner)
   • Phase 1 (Platform): Fights on a small platform. Attacks: punches, grabs platform and shoots projectiles at you or the platform. If he grabs the platform, attack his hand. When he destroys the platform, press the on-screen button to jump to his arm. Run up his arm, avoiding projectiles, to find a glowing core. Dodge blue spikes that form, then attack the core. Use Climax to tear off the arm.
   • Phase 2 (Second Arm): Repeat the process for the second arm. Attack his hand when he grabs the platform, avoid projectiles from his head, jump to his arm, attack the core, and use Climax.
   • Phase 3 (Final): Find and destroy remaining orbs on his body by following the energy source from his head. Dodge blue spikes near orbs before attacking them. After all orbs are destroyed, his head shield disperses. Attack his head to finish the fight. He has three attacks: laser beams.
