Walkthrough

Head down the street under the L-train to a purple search area indicated on your minimap (a small map in the corner of your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), showing your immediate surroundings).

Once you enter the search area, the hacker will begin their hack. You will have limited time to find them.

The hacker, named 2XTheTap, will be running around on the stone plaza and is easily identifiable. Use your Profiler (a tool to scan NPCs and objects) to spot them. They will be marked in red.

Chase down and take out 2XTheTap.

Warning: If you fail to take him out quickly, the foot chase will become a vehicle chase.

Tips

This mission serves as a tutorial for hacking other players.
If you wish to avoid the online hacking tutorial, you can play Watch Dogs 2 offline. However, this will also lock you out of online missions.
