Hey there! So you're looking to gather Lumber in Pokémon Pokopia, huh? It's a pretty essential material, especially for rebuilding the Pokémon Center, so let's get you sorted. You won't be able to grab the logs lying around just yet, but don't worry, we'll get you the tools you need.

First things first, you need the Cut Move. To get that, you'll need to find and befriend a Scyther. Creating a special habitat is the key here: find a tree with the Leafage Ability and place four tall grass tiles around it. Once you've set up this Tree-Shaded Tall Grass Habitat, hang out and keep an eye on the moving grass. Interact with it, and a Scyther will eventually show up and join you!

When Scyther joins, it'll have a small request for you: bring it two Sturdy Sticks. These are super common and can be found pretty much anywhere. Once you hand those over, you'll learn the Cut Ability. Awesome!

Now, for the Lumber itself. Once you hit Environmental Level 3, Scyther will have another request for you – this time, it wants a Small Log. You can get this by using your new Cut Ability on any tree. Take that Small Log back to Scyther, and after a little while, it'll convert it into five pieces of Lumber for you. Pretty neat, right?

Once you have Lumber, you can bring any Logs you find to Pokémon that have the Chop Specialty. They'll help you process them into Lumber. Keep an eye out for these Pokémon!
