Controls

Master the controls in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe using the Wiimote or Wii U-pad, including button functions for movement, jumping, and special actions.

Wiimote Controls:

• D-pad Left/Right: Move left or right, enter side pipes.
• D-pad Up: Enter doors, climb vines, enter upper pipes during a jump.
• D-pad Down: Enter pipes, crouch, ground pound during jump.
• Button 1: Throw projectiles.
• Button 2: Jump; hold to Glide or hover with Yoshi.
• Plus button: Pause.
• Shake Wiimote: Glide Jump, Spin Jump.

You can use the Wii U-pad to create platforms on the TV screen by tapping on the pad.

Wii U-pad Controls:
