In the parking lot in 2022, talk to Mom. You will choose a name for your cat: Pumpkin (Orange Tabby), Snowy (White Cat), or Shadow (Black Cat). This choice unlocks the Shrӧdinger’s Cat Achievement.

You can end the conversation early by selecting "i have to go" with the door icon.

Read text messages and examine items in the car.

Turn off the car's ignition and click the driver's side door to leave, triggering a flashback.

Grab the flashlight by turning right to complete the flashback.

In the "Memory Lane" section, look around the parking lot for items to Reminisce about: the billboard across the bar, the boat, the van trunk, the bar sign, the "Welcome Hunters" sign, the fence, the out-of-order phone booth, the motorcycle, and flyers on the bulletin board (including one about a meteor shower and movie nights).

Enter the bar to advance.

In 1995, in Swann's bedroom, argue with Mom about going outside. She will agree to let you film nature after you complete objectives: get dressed, find a missing videotape, and get a snack.

Warning: To unlock the Gordon, It's 10:10AM Trophy, wait 3 real-world minutes and examine the alarm clock at exactly 10:10 AM. If missed, you must restart the scene.

Examine items in the room: crumpled paper, the desk (calendar, postcard, floppy disk, agenda planner, school pamphlet, prom dress item), the TV area (Dusk sister VHS case, camcorder, empty VHS case), the cat on the chest (you can pet it), the floor near the cat (pinecone, leaf binder), the terrarium on the dresser, polaroids on the dresser sides, the nightstand (alarm clock, book referencing Stephen King), under the bed (box with another book, nail polish, fan-fiction story), the bookcase (books, pin toy, art history notes), the moth girl toy, the VHS case near the bed containing Swann's first video, and lie on the bed.

Complete objectives: find the snack on the desk, find the video tape box near the cat and another VHS box by the closet, get dressed in the closet, and grab your bag by the desk.

Your camcorder will finish backing up. Film Swann's Cat for the first Memoir.

Film specific items in the room for the next Memoir.

Film a cardinal near the window for your first collectible.

You can now leave the room. Additional collectible film scenes are available.

Unlocking trophies: Directorial Debut (Watched your first Memoir compilation), Blank Tape (Discovered your First Collectible Memoir), Editor (Reordered a Memoir), Producer's Cut (Deleted footage), Memory Remix (Replaced Footage in a Memoir).

In 2022, enter the bar and go to the counter. The bartender will go to the back. Examine the stereo, chalkboard, liquor cabinet, your phone, and the deer head.

In 1995, in the woods, try to film a deer. It will get spooked but will return.

Film the hunter stand and the deer to get the second hunting scene for the hunting memoir.

Head to a pond area. Film the following collectible scenes: Hunting Memoir (Opening scene, Stag, Hunting Blind), Pond (Canada Goose, Critters (Squirrels), Frog, Deers, The Sun).

Look at the birds to end the segment.

Get the snack from your backpack.

Head toward a clearing with a welcome sign. Film the following collectible scene: Birds Memoir (House Finch).
