Follow the Firewatch Day 2 walkthrough to survey communication lines north of the canyon and navigate conversations with Delilah.
Walkthrough
- 1Objective: Survey Communication Lines North of the Canyon. Check the lookout for items picked up on Day 1: whiskey bottle on the desk, fireworks by the wood stove, and a pet turtle (if adopted) in a box by the bed.
- 2Open the balcony door and look north. Report Thorofare Lookout 3 times.
- 3Go down the stairs and head north to the outhouse. Report the fallen tree caused by the storm.
- 4Head north past the Two Forks outhouse to the canyon. Climb down the canyon trail to the cave. Report the Cold Morning Fog found just outside the cave.
- 5Drop into the cave and exit by Cache Box 303.
- 6Continue hiking north. If you didn't go off the beaten path on Day 1, clear bushes to proceed.
- 7Report the Utility Pole 2 times.
- 8Continue north until you reach a trail sign pointing to Beartooth Point/Thorofare Fire Lookout.
- 9East of the trail sign are an Old Outhouse and an Old Cabin. Bypass these for now; they are recommended for Day 3 or later. Do not report them.
- 10Find the old Cache Box by the Old Cabin. Open Cache Box A44 (combination 0-4-5-1 to 1-2-3-4) and Repo.
Tips
- If you didn't go off the beaten path on Day 1, turtles have moved. You can find one at the Thorofare Trailhead south of the Two Forks Lookout.
- Reporting the Cold Morning Fog initiates a key relationship-building conversation with Delilah. You can choose to be stand-offish (talk about your dog or the bar) or open (talk about Julia).
- During the conversation about Julia, you can choose to ask about Delilah's call, talk about Julia, or state it's not her business. Talking about Julia is the most interesting option.
- If you choose to talk about your dog, the bar, or Julia, Delilah may ask about a girlfriend. Respond by talking about Julia.
- If you choose to ask Delilah about the call she was on, she will get annoyed and turn off her radio.
- Eavesdropping on Delilah's side conversation is an option before she starts talking to you again.
- Around Cache 307 by the Ruby River, there is some Cold Morning Fog.
- There is Cold Morning Fog around Cache Box 306.
- There is nothing to report down by the Medicine Wheel except the Medicine Wheel itself.
- Without rope, you cannot access Jonesey Lake via the Meadow/Teen Party Zone due to the Shale Slide.
