Hey there! So you've jumped into Dragon Ball FighterZ, awesome! It's a blast, but like any fighting game, there's a bit of a learning curve. Don't worry, I've got some handy tips and tricks that'll help you keep up with the competition. Think of these as your secret weapons!

Watch Your Meter: That Ki meter is super important. Remember, moves that end with a Heavy Attack will eat up one bar of Ki. Keep an eye on it so you don't get caught with your pants down!

Vanish is Your Friend: This move costs 1 Ki bar, but it's a lifesaver. It can get you out of a tight spot and can link into, or be linked from, pretty much anything. Seriously, practice using it!

Punish Super Dash: See an opponent trying to Super Dash? Hit 'em with a Crouching Heavy attack. It's a solid punish that can really throw them off.

Dragon Rush for Blockers: If your opponent is just turtling and blocking everything, whip out your Dragon Rush. It's perfect for breaking through a stubborn defense.

Combo Scaling is Real: Look, those super long, fancy combos are cool to watch, but they actually do way less damage than you'd think because of damage scaling. Sometimes, it's smarter to save that Level 3 Super for when you can actually KO your opponent, rather than burning it on a long, flashy string.

Mix Up Auto Combos: Auto Combos are great for beginners, but they have unique moves. Try mixing them up with your own combos. It'll keep your opponent on their toes and make you less predictable.

Master the Deflect: Deflect is a game-changer! It can block literally everything except a throw. Even if an attack is coming at your back or it's a Level 3 Super, if you time it right, you'll take zero damage. This is huge!

Characters Play Differently: This isn't Street Fighter where everyone feels kinda similar. Characters like Frieza or Broly have totally different mechanics in the air. So, when you're hitting Down + Heavy, don't expect the same result every time. Get a feel for each character's unique quirks.

Assist Awareness: Your assists are awesome for covering your approach, but be careful! If your assist gets caught in an enemy combo or Super, your other teammates are vulnerable and could get wiped out easily. Watch those assists!

Hit the Practice Modes: Seriously, do the combo trials and tutorials in Practice mode. It's the best way to really get a feel for your character's moveset and how they flow.

Story Mode is Worth It: I know, Story Mode can get a little repetitive and sometimes feels too easy, but it's a fantastic way to change things up and, more importantly, unlock new characters! Plus, you might discover a character you really dig.

Play Everyone in Story Mode: While you're in Story Mode, try playing with all the characters. You never know when a specific battle or special event will pop up that requires you to use someone you've been neglecting. If they're under-leveled, you're gonna have a bad time.

Summoning Characters: For characters like Android 18 or Captain Ginyu who can summon allies, use them often! They're basically free assists. Nappa's Saibamen are a bit less reliable, but still useful.

Heavy Ki Moves: Some moves that won't connect during a regular combo will actually hit if you use the Heavy version and spend a Ki bar. It's a good way to extend combos or secure a hit.

Basic Combo Structure: Most characters share a similar basic combo: Down+M, M, Jump, Air L, M, M, Double Jump, L, M, H. You can often finish this string with aerial Specials, Vanishes, or Super Moves. It's a great starting point!
