Level 6: Gee Wiz

Gee Wiz is similar to Toad Village but features wizard enemies. To defeat wizards, approach them, dodge their magic, and spin them before they attack. Focus on breaking all boxes for the Gem and collecting Aku Aku boxes. Beware of frogs that jump at you and knights; wait for knights to swing their swords, then spin them when their sword is stuck in the ground. Hop onto the Bonus Platform beyond the second bridge to collect all boxes there, which count towards the Gem. Collect Wumpa fruits for extra lives. The Crystal is near the sword-swinging knights past the Bonus Area drop-off. At the end, defeat the knight, hit the Nitro Box, grab the gem, and exit.

Level 7: Hang 'em High

This level is straightforward, with challenges from jumpy enemies and sword-wielding knights. Use your shadow to gauge landing spots for jumpy enemies. For sword guys, attack when they are not facing you. The Crystal is located near the end of a hanging section, above the Bonus Platform. Collect the Crystal, then access the Bonus Platform to break all boxes, which contribute to the Gem. . Watch out for scorpions and floating carpet enemies on hanging sections; spin them away before they get close.

Level 8: Hog Ride

In Hog Ride, you race against Cortex's goons on a motorcycle. To get the Crystal, you must finish in first place. It's recommended to focus on winning first, then return for the boxes and Gem. Use every booster pad for speed and perform wheelies for an extra boost. Avoid pigs (cops) and cars on the roadside.

Level 9: Tomb Time

The Crystal in this level can only be obtained on your first playthrough. The boxes and Purple Gem are accessible via the Purple Gem Platform in Level 13. Be cautious of hazards like snakes, slippery floors, traps, falling walkways, and jumping alligators. When encountering falling platforms, run across the stable green platforms marked with letters. Reach the Bonus Platform beyond the second bridge and break all boxes there, as they count towards the Gem. . Spin away monkeys in jars quickly before they attack. The Crystal is near the end on some falling platforms.

Level 10: Midnight Run

Midnight Run features Coco riding a tiger, similar to the Orient Express level, but set at night with some changes. At the first hut with a ramp, you can either jump on the ramp to reach a 1-Up on top or smash the boxes inside the hut. It is recommended to smash the boxes inside first, then collect the 1-Up later. Some hard-to-reach boxes are floating on kites; hit them to collect them.
